what are some social problems caused by overpopulation?
The earth does not contain enough resources to indefinitely sustain the current enormous population growth. like there is a limited area of land and living space for a certian amount of people if the earth were to start getting more over populated then we'd have a huge problem.
how is overpopulation contributing to environmental degradation (deterioration)?
not enough natural sources not enough jobs housing health care if there's too many people there not enough resources and theres more pollution

it took thousands of years for the human population to reach 1 billion but only about 130 years for it to reach 2 billion. what do you think are the main reasons for the change in growth rate?
more people are reproducing more then before and more and more young people are also starting to reproduce.
how could the human population be growing even though birth rates have begun falling slightly?
overpopulation is some of the problem another is the lack of money to support all the babies in one house hold like an example would be a single mother raising 3 kids by herself working part time the money she is making isn't enough to support all 3 of her kids herself and put a roof over their heads.
how might an improvement in a country's educational opportunities lead to a decrease in its birth rate?
more and more kids will go to school and learn to will to have kids instead of getting pregnant at 16,17,18 years old and will start to have less and less kids if children learn thats its not a great time in the world to have children because of whatever might be going on i mean its not a smart thing to ever have children at such a young age if something happens and the outcome is that the girl gets pregnant then that girl has options to her but if a girl just goes out and intentionally getting pregnant then shes doing the wrong thing

what factors limit the groth of populations?
some factors are cultural factors, religious factors, land and food availablity, family planning beliefs, natural disastures, medical limitations are just some of the factors.
why cant a population increase indefinitely?
some reasons a population cant increase indefinitely is because if infertility,death,old age,natural disaters,disease,crime

could there ever be too many people on earth? why or why not?
how could overcrowding in another part of the world affect you?
yes i do think that there could ever be too many people the earth is already starting to be too many people on this earth we barely have enough food for the people in america let alone the whole world!!! and how it would affect me if the world got over crowed then food cost would go up and then it would get harder to provide for myself and my family

Should the habitat of plants and animals be preserved even if it means slowing development of cities,businesses, housing projects or the economy??

i think that it would be a good but bad thing so both because think about it we already have an economy problem its not gonna make it any worse because the less stuff we build the better we need to save money and atleast try to help the animals and plants but it does leave less places for people to live and then people end up homeless. or the fact that if people are so crowed that diseases would be spred so quickly and plus we depend on other species so with out them there wouldnt be an us

do you think it is right to keep aniamls in zoo's to preserve them as a species?

i think that its wrong to do that but if it helps them as a species then im all for it. mating animals is important because if the didnt mate then their species woulld die and you could do that grem-cell thing and it would help because if they dont want to mate then you can artificially inseminate them and then its okay

what type of project could you create to raise awareness of the importance of preserving Biodiversity??

we could maybe make posters or like a video or make shirts with pictures.or do somthing like wear a picture in a cardborad box that liikes like a tv around and show people the truth or i could make an animal suit and then take pictures of someone wearing it in my backyard and make it look like thats wear the live
